Large screening machines for Far Eastern sinter plant
IFE received an order to supply the largest sinter screens in the company's history to the Far East.
The total of six linear vibrating screens are used to classify crushed cold sinter (< +100 °C, total input: 955 t/h). After screening, the material is fed to the blast furnace and the sintering belt.
The enormous screen sizes of 3.5 × 6.5 m and 3.5 × 8.5 m and the nature of the feed material require an extremely robust design as well as the best available wear protection of all parts in contact with material.
In addition, massive counterstroke frames are used to reduce dynamic loads.
The screens are driven by several unbalanced exciters, which represent an ideal drive system for large and heavy machines.
From mid-September to mid-November 2018, all machines are undergoing a trial run as this is part of the IFE quality standards.
