Reporting Center
Here, anyone can confidentially and (if desired) anonymously report legal violations or other serious grievances in our company or report suspicious facts. There is also a post box for this purpose on the company premises and it is also possible to contact our responsible employee directly. The basis for this is the Austrian "HinweisgeberInnen Schutzgesetz" (Whistleblower Protection Act).
Possible subject areas are
- public procurement,
- prevention of money laundering,
- environmental and animal protection,
- public health
- privacy and personal data security
- corruption offenses
...
Whistleblowing must be distinguished from cases which
- are only pursued out of self-interest and
- do not involve unlawful or disapproved behavior or
- do not contain a warning or important information for the public.
This means that bullying, gossip, slander, defamation, etc. must be refrained from.
Anonymity & confidentiality
Whistleblowers must not be disadvantaged because of their information. Whistleblowers and accused persons must be protected from exposure and defamation. Accused persons must also not be named publicly as long as investigations are ongoing and there are only suspicions. The accused person must have the opportunity to make a statement or to contribute accordingly.
Process
A confirmation of receipt must be sent to the whistleblower within a maximum of 7 days after receipt of a report. Within a maximum of 3 months, a substantive response must be sent to the whistleblower or follow-up measures must be taken.
When a report is received, a committee is formed according to the reported facts to investigate the tip-off. The whistleblower will be informed of the results of the investigation if the contact information is available. In the case of an anonymized report, the results will be summarized in a report that will be prepared regularly.
