Optimizing processing machines smartly with one tool – this is what the new i-STEP product line stands for. Trade fair visitors showed great enthusiasm for the comprehensive solution.
We are pleased to present you with a review of our IFAT Munich 2024 participation, which took place from May 13 to 17.
The IFE presentation was all about the new i-STEP product line.
Visitors were enthusiastic and tested the solution extensively at our stand.
Smart tools for your material handling technology
The highlight of the trade fair was undoubtedly the launch of our new digital tool, i-STEP. This innovative platform cleverly combines sensors with machine data and offers a user-friendly portal that can be accessed via the internet at any time and from anywhere. The new i-STEP product line aims to extend the service life of plants, simplify processes and optimize the operation of processing machines. Meaningful statistics, key figures and measurements enable you to take preventive measures at an early stage. Costly breakdowns can often be prevented or significantly reduced.
i-STEP Workbench
Online portal with comprehensive insights
The centerpiece of the new product line is the i-STEP Workbench. It is the central hub when it comes to managing your machinery. Stand visitors were able to see this for themselves. The screening machine on the stand supplied live data directly to the Workbench by means of built-in vibration sensors, power monitoring and air pressure monitoring.
The data provided a comprehensive picture and critical situations could be simulated live, triggering immediate notifications in the workbench.
Visitors were also able to navigate through the system themselves and discover additional functions. The portal provides an overview of the entire machine park and also allows the integration of third-party machines and sensors. This enables evaluations and comparisons of the integrated machines.
In the detailed view of individual devices, you will not only find their evaluations, but can also call up the most important documents (operating instructions, etc.) and use the Workbench to order suitable spare parts and supplies immediately.
Another essential function: the Workbench reminds its user in time of upcoming maintenance work. Surprising downtimes can thus be considerably reduced.
i-STEP Vibrosense
for quick vibration analysis
Another product from the i-STEP range that generated a lot of interest was i-STEP Vibrosense, a compact vibration monitoring tool consisting of a sensor and an app.
There were 3 small vibrating feeders on the stand to demonstrate the tool. The sensors could be easily attached there using magnets. Using the app, which is already available for Android™ and Apple iOS, an analysis of the vibration behavior could be created and shared in just a few moments.
Lecture live at the IFAT
Further input on the i-STEP focus topic
iSTEP Digital, Al-based optimisation tool for material processing machine – this was the title of an exciting presentation given by our colleague and doctoral student at Montanuni Leoben Philip Krukenfellner on Thursday at 14:30 on the Green Stage.
It was very well received by the audience and gave them further insights into how i-STEP works.
AEROSELECTOR
Compost processing line up close
Numerous visitors registered for a tour of the AEROSELECTOR in nearby Warngau weeks before IFAT. They were warmly welcomed on site and received information and first-hand reports on the compost processing solution.
They were shown how smoothly the line integrates into the operation and how 7 different fractions can be extracted in one pass.

Résumé
Our visit to IFAT Munich 2024 not only left a lasting impression on the visitors, but also on our trade fair team. We had many promising and specific discussions, met old acquaintances and got to know many new faces.
We are already looking forward to the exciting projects that will result from this and especially to IFAT 2026.
