MORE FINES, MORE VALUE CREATION: THE NEW INPX NANOS

From a Centric to an Eccentric Magnetic System

The requirements for non-ferrous metal separation are constantly changing—for many of our customers, the feed material has changed in recent years and now contains significantly more fine particles. Their centric eddy current separators are ideal for coarser fractions, such as UBC, and deliver high throughput. To ensure these units also achieve better results with finer materials, we have developed the perfect solution: converting centric IFE eddy current separators (INP) to an eccentric magnetic system—the new INPx NANOS.

What technical changes are there?

Thanks to the eccentric arrangement of the pole wheel and the significantly higher number of pole pairs, the NANOS generates a finer, denser alternating magnetic field. Combined with the higher maximum speed of up to 4,000 rpm, this results in noticeably better separation efficiency—across a wider particle size range.

The Benefits at a Glance

  • Improved separation efficiency for fine particle sizes - more non-ferrous metals are recovered from the fine fraction, thereby increasing the value creation by your plant.
  • Wide particle size range - the NANOS delivers excellent results even with larger particles up to approximately 200 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
  • Minimal retooling effort - the machine frame, splitting unit, and control system remain unchanged. Only the pole wheel system and motor are replaced, supplemented by customized variable-frequency drive (VFD) programming.

Quick and easy to retrofit

The INPx NANOS was specifically designed to allow for the retrofitting of an existing INP with minimal effort. Since the central components remain in place, the investment required is significantly reduced, operational disruptions are minimal, and the device can be seamlessly reintegrated into the existing production line.

We show you exactly how the retrofit works in our animated videos:
