New Features in the i-STEP Operator

Keep your machines in view. Plan maintenance smarter.

Long-Term Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Planning

The i-STEP Operator from IFE is a manufacturer- and machine-independent online platform for the centralized collection, visualization, and analysis of machine and sensor data.

Both individual retrofitted sensors and existing PLC data can be integrated – regardless of the machine’s level of automation. This enables operating conditions, temperatures, vibrations, power consumption, and many other parameters to be recorded over the long term and accessed from any browser-enabled device.

This creates a comprehensive data foundation for monitoring machine conditions, detecting anomalies at an early stage, analyzing operating data, and planning maintenance more effectively. In addition, operating data, maintenance information, operating instructions, and customer-specific documents can all be managed centrally in one place and accessed at any time.

Get Started with the i-STEP Base Station

The i-STEP Base Station makes it easy to get started with digital condition monitoring. Equipped with four mobile vibration sensors and an internet connection, it enables you to monitor machines under real-world operating conditions and gain first-hand experience with data acquisition and condition analysis.

The compact solution can be used flexibly on screens and conveying equipment and tested directly on site.

More Value from Your Machine Data

Collect. Evaluate. Analyze. Document. Respond.

The i-STEP Operator is continuously enhanced with new features designed to help you monitor machines more transparently, gain deeper insights into operating data, and make maintenance processes more efficient.

Discover the latest features at a glance:

Downtime & Process Data

Machine downtime is automatically recorded and clearly displayed. This makes it possible to analyze the frequency, duration, and causes of downtime and identify targeted measures to optimize machine performance.

Comparison of Operating Hours

Make operating times transparent, analyze utilization, and adjust targets as needed – providing a solid basis for planning and optimizing machine operations.

New Printable Reports

Reports can be exported directly as PDFs or printed. This makes important analyses available as unalterable documents for documentation and further use.

Documentation of Electrical Tests

Electrical inspections can be documented directly as events in the Operator. All relevant inspection data remains centrally stored and fully traceable.

Direct PLC connection via OPC UA

Existing PLC data can be easily transferred to the Operator via OPC UA. Operating hours, status signals, performance data, and other process values are centrally available for evaluation and analysis.

Upload Customer Documents

In addition to IFE documentation, your own documents can be assigned directly to the respective machine. Photos, maintenance instructions, and inspection reports remain centrally organized and available at any time.

E-Mail-Alarms

Automatic e-mail notifications can be sent when critical or unusual operating conditions occur. Thresholds can be configured individually, allowing relevant deviations to be detected automatically and triggering a notification.
