Flexible solution for efficient processing of compost and more – whether as a new installation or as a seamless extension for existing processing plants

The IFE AEROSELECTOR is key to produce high-quality premium products from raw compost. It completes modern compost processing – whether as complete solution or as addition to existing machinery.

After a successful launch in Austria, the AEROSELECTOR had an extremely promising first half of 2023 in Germany too, as we were able to run many customised tests with our demo unit. With the sale of the first complete system on the German market, a further milestone was also realised in this period.

This intensive time has not only revealed an increasing demand for our new technology to produce premium compost, but also the desire to integrate it seamlessly into existing plants.

This encouraged us to improve the modularity of the system so we can create more flexible solutions that match our customers’ wishes.

The possibilities reach from:

  • An effective FE output through an additional overband separator next to the existing magnetic pulley. A valuable addition, especially if the raw compost has a high FE load
  • to the recycling of non-ferrous impurities by eddy current technology (for example, aluminium coffee capsules)
  • up to the integration of the core unit, the AEROSELECTOR core unit (stone trap, wind sifting and star screen), into existing machines or processing plants. An existing drum screen, mobile or stationary, can also be connected upstream of the core unit. This allows you to enjoy the advantages of efficient air classifier technology, stone separation, and screening technology (star screen).

IFE provides competent advice and support for the integration of individual components. Together with the client, needs are discussed and important criteria for successful implementation and seamless integration into the business are defined. When it comes to positioning, steel construction, stage technology and other things, IFE is not only at the customer's side as an experienced consultant, but also offers an “All-In-One”-Solution, with planning, working drawings, manufacture, assembly, and commissioning included.

The insecurity of the energy market also had an impact on the compost sector. There’s a growing trend towards the conversion of bio waste to electricity instead of classical composting. Here, too, the AEROSELECTOR comes into play: by separating films, a high-calorific fraction with a very low organic content can be produced, which is an ideal substitute fuel. At the same time, the structural material, key element of an effective rotting process, is discharged and recovered. Of course, it can also be fed into the incineration process as woody material. Finally, the stone trap helps to remove inert fractions such as stones. The fraction that goes into the combustion process thus has a high caloric value and a lower weight. Consequently, it can be marketed at an optimal price. The AEROSELECTOR enables compost operators to efficiently meet the current challenges and support recycling processes.
