IFE Ungarn Kalman Boda

Pure Hungarian sales power

Interview with IFE representative Kalman Boda (CEO Komponent Kft.)

Kalman Boda, Managing Director of Komponent Kft., is our long-standing sales representative in Hungary.

He has been selling IFE machines for almost 20 years.

In this interview, he talks about the cornerstones that make his company successful.

How did you get to IFE Material Handling?

After graduating, I started working for Komponent Kft. in 2006. Two years later, Komponent took over the representation of IFE in Hungary.
I remember very well the first plant visit in Austria. It was overwhelming to see the advanced material handling methods that had already been used in the field of environmental technology there.
In the years that followed, I was able to gain extensive experience in the various bulk material industries myself and completed many different projects.

Nine years ago, my tireless commitment finally culminated in taking over the management of Komponent Kft. Since then, I have been running the company.

What has been your greatest project success recently with IFE?

I am very proud that I managed to sign a contract with one of the largest Hungarian waste processing plant manufacturers. It will use IFE magnetic technology including IFE eddy current separators from now on.

What personal qualities have enabled you to achieve these successes?

In my opinion, many different personal characteristics such as active listening, problem-solving orientation, direct communication, and extensive organizational and technical skills are important factors that make up my success.

Above all, however, the ability to build and maintain long-term and trusting relationships with my customers is decisive.

What does customer service mean to you?

For me, it means identifying the concerns of customers and finding a solution that meets or even exceeds their expectations.

I’m also happy to organize material tests. My customers can participate and see for themselves that the recommended solution works with their material. It's a great advantage to have IFE nearby.

If complaints do come up, how do you deal with them?

Every single feedback is important otherwise I risk losing a customer. I therefore always handle complaints with particular care and as quickly as possible.
I also ensure that the team is working hard to fix the problem. I provide a timeline for the solution and ensure that it is solved quickly.

And finally, how does the cooperation with IFE in Austria look like?

I work closely with a well-established Austrian team. We regularly pool our knowledge as well as resources. It's a good feeling to know that I always have the full support of IFE!

Dear Kalman, thank you very much for your time and the insights you gave us! We wish you continued success and all the best for you and your family! And above all, congratulations on the birth of your daughter, who was born in November!
