COMPREHENSIVE CONTROL
with optional online connectivity
IFE offers a range of powerful solutions for machine monitoring. The Machine Monitoring Device (MMD) is supplied as a complete control cabinet including its own PLC and enables the integration of a wide variety of sensors (e.g., vibration, oil level, temperature, speed) directly into the control system via a data bus connection. This allows sensor data to be processed centrally and defined actions to be triggered – from visual warning messages to automatic shutdown when limit values are exceeded.
With the Machine Monitoring Light (MML) package, IFE offers a more compact system that transmits data from vibration sensors to existing control systems. It can be easily installed in existing control cabinets.
Difference to IFE Machine Monitoring Light (MML):
-
MMD: Complete solution with its own control cabinet and PLC, integration of multiple sensor types, communication via data bus (e.g., Modbus RTU, OPC UA). Ideal for complex monitoring tasks.
-
MML: Compact option for basic monitoring. Focused on vibration sensors, connected via cable to a compact PLC, which is installed in the customer’s existing control cabinet and integrated into the current control system.
Optional
Online data access via i-STEP Operator
Once the sensors are connected to Wi-Fi, data can also be transmitted to the i-STEP Operator. This means information is available offline in the PLC and online in the browser at the same time – enabling remote maintenance, condition monitoring, and data-driven optimization.
Your Benefits:
-
Local monitoring without cloud dependency
-
Simultaneous online data availability in the Operator
-
Flexible integration into existing control systems
-
High data security through local processing
-
Future-proof thanks to modular interfaces
Experience a new dimension of machine monitoring with IFE – reliable, secure, and available both on-site and online via the Operator.
Base Station
Ready for testing?
The i-STEP base station is a test case that includes four Vibrosense sensors, which are installed and configured on-site together with an IFE specialist. The stand-alone solution allows you to test the full version of the i-STEP Operator for an agreed trial period and experience its advantages firsthand.
