The year 1947 marks the beginning of our company's history. In 2003, a management buy-out of the material handling division led to the establishment of the independent IFE Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH. Together with our families and friends we celebrated the 20th anniversary. Read more here about a successful day that also offered many technical insights.
For celebrating the 20th anniversary of IFE Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH, family members and friends of the IFE team were invited to the first IFE Family Day on June 03, 2023. More than 700 guests were welcomed to the event at the company site in Waidhofen / Ybbs.
A varied program offered the guests great insights into the world of IFE Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH and ensured an entertaining day.
Many guests started the Family Day with a company tour. Not only the offices, but also the workshop and test center could be explored. Numerous machine demos amazed the visitors, showing various processing tasks and the wide product range of IFE Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH.
Eddy current separator: yellow bag processing
Recently, a changeover took place in large parts of Austria: all packaging except glass and paper can now be disposed of via the yellow bag. This includes, for example, plastic packaging, packaging made from material composites, from metals such as aluminum, and much more. Some citizens wonder how the processing of this "mixture" works.
The eddy current separator INP centric was used to demonstrate how effectively magnetic technology from IFE can be used here. For demonstration purposes, the contents of several yellow bags were fed onto the eddy current separator. Non-ferrous metals such as beverage and food cans were successfully separated from plastics such as yogurt pots, foils etc.
Magnetic drum separator KHP-Z: Separation of low and medium magnetizable materials
In order to separate low and medium magnetizable metals from a material flow, a powerful magnet like IFE's KHP-Z magnetic drum is required. Our visitors could experience live how cleanly PET flakes could be separated from stainless steel parts.
Eddy current separator and spiral elevator: special application
The machine combo STRATOS eddy current separator + spiral elevator impressively demonstrated how:
- bulk material can be conveyed upwards quietly, efficiently and in a space-saving way
- and even a thin layer of aluminum paper is sufficient to achieve perfect separation results.
A special bulk material was used for this purpose, which was equally popular with children and adults: candies :-)
Vibrating feeder in miniature format
Strange slide - it has no incline and yet the sand slides forward. Here, even the smallest ones could explore how a vibrating feeder works.
In the workshop, visitors could see a variety of machines - from conveying to screening and magnetic technology. A waste screen, a flip-flop screen and a large belt drum separator were turned on every hour. Not only their size amazed the visitors, but also their quiet operation.
