IFE vibrating feeders with electromagnetic drive are used for bin extraction and for conveying of bulk material. Especially favourable for dosing, applications include feeding of weigh bins, or weigh feeders, or steady and smooth feeding for downstream equipment. The vibrating feeders are manufactured in a welded design, driven by an IFE electromagnetic drive.
IFE-vibrating feeders are designed and manufactured specifically to the application. Based on clients demand a wide variety of versions are available:
- wear plates of steel, plastics, ceramics, special material, cladded plates, ...
- stationary or vibrating dust cover
- material inlet chutes combined with slide gates
- for feeding of hot material, optionally including cooling appliances for cooling of material
- design as distributing feeder for downstream equipment
Dosing devices are driven by a special electromagnetic drive and are being used for feeding and dosing of small amounts of bulk material. The variable amplitude of the vibration can be controlled while in operation.
Installation is made by use of elastic rubber buffers to achieve proper insulation of surroundings against vibration.
Dosing units are equipped either with conveying troughs with flat troughs or in tubular design.

The IFE-electromagnetic drive and the feeder or tube form a vibrating system consisting of two masses. The excitation of the vibration is made by the pumping force of the magnet being connected to the mains via an IFE-control unit. The amplitude of the vibration can be controlled infinitely variable while in operation. These electromagnetic drives are manufactured for robustness and are dust- and splashproof due to the total enclosed design.
