Metal extraction by IFE machines
For returning to the recycling cycle
The slags and ashes, resulting from incineration plants and power plants for substitute fuel, are not to be regarded as waste. They often have a great potential of raw materials. The aim of IFE is to extract and recover a maximum of metals from the slag in order to return it to the recycling cycle. In the material processing, screens, magnetic drums, eddy current separators and windsifters are used to separate both ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the slag. Thanks to IFE technology the residual slag can ideally be reused as a building material, whereby the need for landfill can be reduced.
